Hi I purchased these from a ebay seller that had a different picture of white zombies. He said these are the same. I don't believe they are. Can anyone I'd for me ? Thanks

The problem with "true" zoanthid IDs is that there is no standard reference for such things. The names are made up, sometimes on the spot, or taken from other strains to make them sound expensive. Just a simple google search of "white zombie" yields several completely different color morphs. It's honestly no different than renaming a dog you adopted.

It's also entirely possible the lighting is just different or that they lost color due to stress. The seller might have edited photos to make the color pop more than it does IRL.

I don’t actively collect any of agaves, seductions, or white zombies because they present differently and most of what you’d consider ‘distinguishing characteristics’ are subject to morphing. For that reason a Google image search will show you a wide swath of color combinations. Especially given the strain has been around awhile.

If the eBay add wasn’t wysiwyg you’re taking him/her at their word. But that’s a concern you can raise with them.

If you are looking for someone to give you and up or down answer you’ll likely need another picture that’s focused and shows more detail.

I personally would say no. These are mine. I got mine from a reefer with paperwork to show the lineage back to cornbread corals. IMO it’s not worth slapping a name on something unless you have the receipts to prove the lineage otherwise you’re just charging people way more for random look alike corals. I got a good deal and the guy sold them to me for 25$/head.

One of the comments above mentioned too but white zombies look a whole lot like seductions, agaves, and magicians. The paperwork is really the only thing that separates CB white zombies from most of these others.

Edit: I have seen these before labeled white walkers. Entirely possible they are another magician/agave morph.
