When I saw them moving around that pretty much confirmed dions but now need to figure out a course of action ASAP. They are not all that bad yet but do cover the sand.Diatoms don’t move and aren’t round but rectangular. Here is what they look like :

This happened after treating the tank for prorocentrum dinos with sodium silicate for 4 weeks (dinos were spilled in the tank when removing my in-tank UV hose). Dinos are gone but this appeared about 2 weeks ago. I tried Phosguard to remove silicate but it didn’t help. Also, what is...www.reef2reef.com

You need to do a video with 400x magnification or more. Then people will help you id them.
