Hi,
Lately, my mixed reef tank has been developing this substance on sand. It seems like it lightly binds the sand together and has a bright yellow-green color

All tank parameters look good. Any idea what it is?

Possibly Cyano. It comes in several colors.

I have a 4" tomini tang - who doesn't touch it.
It appears in small patches on the sand in random places usually near rocks. I break it up and then it returns a few days later.
Tank has been running for about 3 years
