Sorry the picture is horrible. It looks like an anemone, because during the day I can see tentacles. It has a short bright orange base and is perfectly round. Any ideas?

It doesn’t have the stalk I think of for aiptasia . I have two species of those in my tank so unfortunately I am familiar! It is definitely an anemone though. The Majano pics don’t look quite right but maybe just because it’s still tiny

My best guess is a ball anemone... as it would be the most likely red or orange hitch hiker nem.
That looks promising. It does have little Pom poms on the end of the tentacles. Sorry About the poor pics I literally took a dozen and hard to believe but those were the best

I understand. That's where I would start. You have 2 choices really, remove it, or wait for it to get bigger to get an ID :)...

Cool this helps because the ball anemone looks closest when I look at pics, so I am going to take a wait and see approach. Hate to nuke something that looks kind of neat if I don’t have to

update: it looks like the spitting image of this, which was ID'd as a ball anemone, or a corallimorph of some sort. Neat! Thanks for the help.
