I am posting pics. I have tried black out extra crabs and snails peroxide and Baxter clean m physical scrubbing with a tooth brush. Added flow

This stuff grows 3 to 4 inches in a matter of hours

Don’t know where to begin. I’ve treated with so much chemical. Last water change about 20%

Sump looks good. ?????

Help please

That looks like dinos, how are your nitrates and phosphates?

A lot of bubble algae, I would go in and scrub everything and have a lot more on hand maintenance in the tank. Run filtration on full blast while scrubbing tank with soft bristle toothbrush
Change filter socks and do a water change after scrubbing tank and letting the water clear up

Suggest starting over. The part about "treating with so much chemicals" is probably part of the problem. Need to get to the root cause which is most likely an imbalance in your water chemistry. So need to know parameters to be able to help you.

Only option left if you tried all else is get your hands in. Chemicals would of been my last option.
Get your hands in and physically scrub, it looks like a relatively small aquarium so should not take long, pull as much algae out with fingers, then scrub with toothbrush, filters can only handle so much debris so clean these out after 20mins, then repeat tomorrow... HANDS ON APPROACH is they only way to effectively remove

this is a 24 x 48 x 16" frag tank glass bottom 20 gal sump
back overflow 1800 gph main pump huge skimmer and carb reactor

chaeto in sump seems clean and good other chambers do too...

what should i do with the rock and chaeto in the sump?

what do I do with the frags and mushrooms I have growing in there... Im afraid to move em and cross contaminate?

so i guess i'll restart take every thing out and scrub and or replace hoses

i want to do a vinegar and water bath for a day or 2?

any other suggestions

Appox 4 months old ... all parameters were good
You might be in the ugly phase. Hold off on doing to much. With everything you've tried your tank might jut be out of whack. I know it looks bad, but sometimes just waiting things out is the best action. I know on my nano, I kept fighting it and throwing everything out. But once I got busy with work, the tank took care of its' self and cleaned up

Overnight when it retreats, add either PNS or microbe lift special blend keep skimmer off for a day or so. Let the bacteria colonize and it will outcompete the dinos. Did you by any chance treat with Cipro?

Well folks here we are appox 2 weeks later and the tank is looking remarkable.

I'd like to say this is what cured it but I'm not certain.

I went totally dark for almost a week.... stripped out all the racks... scrubbed each and every frag plug.

treated with extreme doses of 3% peroxide as well as continium bacter clean m. also increased flow with another blower

Did a 25% water change after about 4 or 5 days slowly turning the lights back on and also just did about a 30% water change.

All my Frags are thriving algae free. I did loose some valuable mushrooms but everything else held up well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

As always, Thanx for your input!

That's not bubble algae, those are air bubbles caught in the algae.

I don't mean to poop on your parade, but you eliminated the symptoms. Figure out the causes of this and eradicate them with extreme prejudice before you have to deal with the same thing again.

I believe it was bad rodi combined with new tank syndrome and too much light
