Help with identification

Please help me with what this tube type thing is growing off my zoas. It only has them on this plug all the others seem fine. I’ve removed several time but it keep returning. They seem irritated by it and won’t open fully.

Looks like some type of sponge.

Just remove as much you can before your next water change, but keep in mind that any tissue left behind will most likely grow back. It might take awhile before you get all of it. GL.

Do you have Clove Polyps nearby? These look like the little "tentacles" that Cloves send out to find new territory to populate. If so, they're harmless, just annoying when they pop up in your Zoa colonies.

I don't have any clove polyps but the breeder I got these from may have had some in his racks.
