Help with Identification

I have a growth on a colony of Zoa’s. The colony‘s polyps are closed all other corals seem unaffected. The only thing I can see is this growth on one side. Any ideas?

I certainly hope not. They’ve been in my tank since I first dropped snails in the tank. I have a large number of them—mostly on the glass and the AIO, eating algae. They seem to breed like rabbits

theyre not sundials but trochus snails and as for what you are questioning, Syconoid sponge which is a poriferan sponge. Take the frag out and place in a container of tank water. Use a dental type pick or small crochet needle and gently pull off. Other option is to inject with air or vinegar via syringe which will stop it
