Help with identifying this spot on Cyphastrea

Can’t seem to figure out what’s going on here. This photo was from today but the spot has gotten this big over the last few weeks. It started out much smaller and if anyone has some idea what’s going on I would really appreciate the help.

Does it look like brown jelly disease? Maybe some kind of tissue necrosis. Is there any corals near it which could sting it

No it’s at least 6 inches away from all other coral except some zoas.

Most likely tissue necrosis as mentioned. Possibly from detritus or sand settling. Even from a fish/inverts nipping at it. Looks almost like a polyp was attempting to feed on something.
