I can't figure out why my green toadstool leather looks so bad compared to when I got it.
Alk 10.0
Calcium 445
Nitrates 50ppm
Phosphates 0.2 ppm
Salinity 1.026
Temp 77

The rest of my softies all seem to be doing fine. Its looked like the attached picture for a couple months now. The other pic of it bright green was when I got it. Not sure what is up. Flow is decently strong and lights are kessil 360s at 60% and about 18" from it.

Any ideas?

They go through phases where they will close for a few days or even shed. At least mine does from time to time. I would only worry if you see the actual body deteriorating. It looks nice when its happy though!

Yeah I've noticed that with other leathers. Not sure why this one has looked pale for months tho...

Phosphate is pretty high. Leathers seem to like it a little warmer as well ime. I run mine at 78.

Did you move it up higher in the tank? I would move it back down to where you had it or in a lower light position and see if colors get deeper.
