Good Morning all, I was hoping that someone could help me with my led lighting cycle .I have a 125 gal reef tank .current orbit pro 72 in dual led strips. 2 wave pumps 990 gph & 680 gph (I think) .
In the tank presently i have live sand ,60-70 lbs of live rock , 1 mandarin, 1 niger triger, 1 6 line wrasse
2 lion fish. button polyps , trumpet coral, 2 leather corals , 2 condy anenome's. I would of liked to spend more $$$on my lighting but the budget was a little thin to start. I was hoping someone had the current orbit pro series & a light schedule that has worked for them. I will receive my lighting on 12/2 & didn't want to fry any corals or start an algae bloom. Any help would be appreciated .

I'm not familiar with that exact model, but with any lighting you want to start out low and slowly work your way up. Your best bet is to do an 8 to 12 hour schedule, start out with low percentages and weekly ramp it up by 5 or 10 percent until you hit that sweet spot that your corals like. If you turn it up to high and they start to get annoyed turn it down by 10% and wait another week to see how they do. As far as your pumps, you may want to add some more flow to the tank depended on what corals you're going to be getting in the future. General rule of thumb is 20 to 50 times turnover, which would put your tank at a minimum of 2500 gallons per hour, and with your two pumps you're only pushing 1600. Just a thought, if everything is doing good you may be good to go, but just something to think about. Hope this helps :D

Thank you so much for your advice . Again, I am still wet behind the ears with the reef portion. I just purchased a reef master test kit ( I have a saltwater test kit now) & I am going to start logging the rest of parameters . If you wouldn’t mind me reaching out to you from time for some advice, it would be greatly appreciated . again thanks for your feedback
