Help with led lighting?

Currently have a ocean view led light. Bought it used for my 40g. First time using led so really not sure how to set it or use the lighting to the best of its ability. Any info or suggestions would be awesome. By the way I’ve been running it on sunny mode during the day and moon at night

That sounds about right. One thing is that you don't want to have your sunny mode on too long. By keeping your strong light somewhere from 6 to 8 hours a day you can help to prevent possible problems that can come up.
