I recently purchase a mount for my 6 gallon nano and I thought it came what the heck the bolt and I got it today and it didn't lol so now my question is how many watt do I need to keep some corals alive and bright

Is that the e27 socket? You can get away with a small Par38... or something smaller that I don't remember the exact name... what kind of corals?

Yes it is the E27 socket and I'm thinking some zoas and mushrooms
 
There are also the ebay ones for cheaper. I've had success with them.

How far from the water do I have to have it the light bolt

I think the length of the arm you have for a 6 gallon will be more than ok in my experience.

Haha I meant to say the arm of the mount :) BTW, I have a walmart desk lamp mount with clip which I got for $8 and put it there...
 
I got ebay leds similar to the ones above. One disadvantage of my particular bulb is that it is not waterproof. The silver fines that looked like a spot reflector was actually open ribs with access to the electronics underneath. But then they were only $14 or so also. :mad:
 
I have that bulb from rapid led. I can sell it to you for $35 shipped if you interested. Bulb works like new. I just purchased ai prime hd that is the only reason I sell it.
