All of my corals closed up weeks ago and I couldn’t figure out why since all of my parameters were good. Come to find out, my salinity was extremely high due to 2 malfunctioning hydrometers. I found this out after buying a new refractometer and seeing that what I thought was 1.025 salinity was actually 1.035. I slowly dropped it down to 1.025 over a couple of days but that didn’t help with my LPS and soft corals. This happened about 4 weeks ago. Since everything was still closed up and I noticed green hair algae starting to take over my corals and rock-work I decided to pull out the rocks and clean them in a fresh tub of RO/DI saltwater and let them soak in another tub afterwards. Green hair algae is gone, but 95% of my corals are still closed. I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tank Details- 75 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump, reef octopus 130, chaeto in fuge, 660 gph wave maker, 1050 gph wave maker (both set at 50%), 1200 gph wave maker, and Current IC Loop pro led lights
Fish- Scooter blenny, 2 midnight clowns, flame angel, lawnmower blenny, 4 emerald crabs, 2 peppermint shrimp, & fire shrimp
Corals (all small frags)- acan, torch, frogspawn, orange sun coral, 2 zoas, gsp (always open) & bubble coral (always open)

How old is the tank?
Going for a major scub like you did might not have been the best answer. My suggestion at this time would be to let it be.. Let it ride for a while.
When things go sideways, it can happen quickly.. To recover, it takes time... Sometimes MONTHS...
Getting in the tank trying to "fix everything" can oftentimes do more harm that good...

I forgot to add that the tank has been up for a little over a year with only fish and 5 months with corals. Right now I lowered my lighting a little to reduce stress on the corals. What was strange to me was that my zoas were not affected until the green hair algae started taking over and caused them to close up. For now I'll let it ride out and see how that goes.
Parameters as of last night:
Calcium: 420 ppm
Magnesium: 1225 ppm
Alkalinity: 9 dkH
Nitrates: 15 ppm
Phosphates: 0.25 ppm
Temperature: 80* F
Salinity: 1.025

Welcome to R2R. Wow, 1.035? I have had the same thing happen to a good friend of mine when his refractometer was off. This is one reason why I buy some calibration fluid to check mine every once in a while.

In regards to the corals being closed, are the LPS shrinking from the skeleton? If not just give them more time. I haven't had LPS closed for a long time but have had softies closed up for a while, even in good flow from something that bugged them. But, they did eventually open back again. Just keep your parameters stable and like others have mentioned, try not to move them around very much. This will add stress to the corals that are already stressed out.

Speaking of algae, Do you have any CUC? (Clean Up Crew).

My torch and frogspawn are fully retracted now and look like goners but I’ve been watching my cup coral gain back a lot of color, just not open up yet. I really can’t tell with my Duncan yet because of crabs knocking him off his rock. As far as CUC I have multiple different species of snails, 10 blue leg hermits, 4 scarlet hermits, 5 emerald crabs, and 4 peppermint shrimp. An update since I cleaned up everything, the water is the clearest I’ve ever seen it, parameters are staying pretty stabile, and not much green hair algae has came back. It’s a waiting game now.
