Help with majero pest

I was always told for Maganero and aptatia that if you cut them or not get it all out each piece will grow a new one. So looking at majanero wand. It said it basically explodes it. Wouldn’t this make many more in the tank ? Just curious? Thanks

No, it essentially burns them up
