Hi all,

I built a little acrylic tank as a proof of concept to see how it would go and it was good, so I wanted to use it to make a "Micro/Nano reef", the tank is 30cm*30cm*50cm (W*L*H).

Was thinking I would have a cm or so of sand than some small rock and not sure if I would have a fish or just some coral.

But I wanted to see what people do about filters for such a small tank and if anyone has any suggestions.

I've got a 5 gallon, I tried to put a HOB filter and a skimmer on it, it just looks way too crowded, and to me, not aesthetically pleasing. I rely on weekly water changes. For such a small tank, water changes (1 gallon-ish) are so easy and quick that its not a bother.
