Help with mounting SB reeflights.

I'm going to be ordering two 16" lights from SB reeflights to go over a 48" tank. I'm having some trouble coming up with ideas for how to mount / hang them. I'm not totally against hanging them from the ceiling but it wouldn't be my first choice. Have any of you used mounts for other lights or made your own? Show me what you've got.

A few pieces of aluminum, some wood squares and a few shelf brackets mounted to the wall. The lights just sit on top.

I hung my 48 extreme sb with piano wire...included brackets kinda lame.

I'll be putting two of the 16" lights over a 48" tank, so unless I stagger them I don't think that'll work.

Just use some rods to connect the 2 units together in the middle and use the brackets on the ends.

I used shelf brackets from Menards with the hanging kit that comes with the SBs. Easy to push out of the way if I need to do something in the aquarium.

Look at 8020.com they have everything needed to mount. Ping me as I am on the train but I can send you a pic of the one I am building . It is bolted to the stand, I can't mount to walls or ceiling.

Ya know, 48" tanks are by far the most common size. I've never even seen a 36" tank and no one sells a mounting solution except hanging for two 16" lights. Why wouldn't reefbreeders or SB reeflights sell a 48" inch light. I've been looking at the AI light mount. Looks like there'd be a way to retrofit it to work.

Not your light fixtures but I used a dual monitor mount off Amazon. I have 2- 12 inch heatsink, I used mending plates attached to the monitor mounting plate to fit my fixtures mounting scheme. Not the best pictures, I took them when I had to swap out a leaky tank. I like that I can swing the light out of the way to service the tank, I can also tilt the fixture to face me and clean the splashguard easily.
