Help with Mp 40 wwd

I have an old MP40 WWD that I got basically for free (small frag trade), that the wet side is completely ruined. I am planning on upgrading to the QD driver and a new wet side. My question is would anybody allow me to come over and make sure my dry side is working ok before I drop $200 on upgrades? When I plug in the unit the dry side motor does spin, but I would like to make sure everything is cool with it before I upgrade.

Also, What is better with Vortech pumps, WXM or Reeflink?

You're welcome to come try on mine Tim. If I wasn't doing the Vectra id be using a wxm. ReefLink doesn't interface with the apex at all.
