Ok, first off I don't know if this goes in here, though it does have to do with a device used for water chemistry. Let me know though if I should be posting this somewhere else.

I basically love everything about this photometer, except the app is just not very good, and the Bluetooth feels kind of pointless. But I'm not sure I'm doing it right or might be unaware of some functions though. So it might be partially due to user error. If you have one of these or know something I don't that can help. Any information would be beneficial.

Anyways, when I do a reading, if I don't have the app actively open (like I get a phone call when doing the 15 min magnesium test and was on the phone when it actually finished the reading so the app was open but in the background), it won't actually Bluetooth/record the results, the photometer just starts the next test, and reads ---ppm on the app. I then can't "redo" that test, because it only gives me options to redo tests it has recorded via the app. Though the information is saved in the photometer itself, and will let you keep going through the tests you told it to do. I have checked to see if there is a way to send what the photometer stores, to the app, but can't find anything. So I just give up on the app and manually input them into a spreadsheet and graphs myself.

I have thought about trying to find the cheapest tablet I can (that can run the Hanna Lab app), and hoping that finding something more dedicated to just it might help, but it is a little frustrating and I worry that I'll just get more frustrated the more money I put into it. So for now, I just kind of plan to give up on the app altogether, and just use the photometer itself.

It's a fine place for it, but i do not have anything useful to say about it. If you do not get a response, try posting in the main forum where more people are likely to see it.
