Help with mushroom

anyone know what encourages mushroom growth do they split? Where should i place my mushroom low or high? Rock or bottom

Mushrooms can split in half kind of like an anemone. high or low would be dependent on the strength of your lighting, but generally mushrooms are lower light coral.

most of mine are lower light for full extension and low to medium flow. They can also detach and move if they don't like it.

I have a maxspect 160w with highest settings would be w16% b40% and my mushroom is located on the bottom of my tank i have a 20g nuvo

Mushroom corals also reproduce via pedal laceration. They move and leave parts of themselves behind to create new mushroom corals. Mine has already made two so far.
