This is my Acan frag, it is growing and doing well in the substrate. I have a few questions about it!
Do I move it to the live rock?
Do I leave it on the frag plug or cut it off?
or
Do I just leave it on the substrate as is?

Im new to this and dont know what do when it comes to placement or things like that.... Im just glad its happy at the moment, but want a perminant place for it.

For sure I ll leave it on a plug, that ll b easy to relocate on live rock without using any glue. If needed later.
It requires med light, If it's happy, why move...
My 2 cents. ..

thank you! my main concern was if it would do ok growing out on the substrate. I will leave it where it lie.

They do great pretty much anywhere, I have done a lot of reading and some people say they will turn more orange and lose some of the other colors if they have higher lighting, just don't put it right in front of a pump and you'll be fine, they do better in lower flow.

I dont know if you can see from the picture but under the big heads towards the frag plug there is a smaller head that is kinda green/purple.... around the plug there are prolly 4 small heads like this... will they change to the orange like the big heads? or will they stay the green/purple color configuration?

In my experience, the baby polyps always end up changing to look like the rest of the colony, I have had it happen with blastos and acans

Shoot, I was hoping to get some cool green and purple heads after it grew a bit... o well!
also, I spot feed them about 2-3 times a week. But since my tank isnt exactly dialed in yet and the water conditions change pretty rapidly.. would you hold off feeding for a while?
