Can't tell by the pics. But if Im a guessing man, I'd say the Tang came up with Ich. Which in his case is normal, and I'd leave him alone, making sure that you keep him fattened up until you see the issue gone. Can't see anything on the Angel.

It doesn't look like ich to me, but really hard to tell. Ensure water is pure. Do 10% water changes every day for a few days. Your fish seem stressed.

How can you tell that the fish *seem stressed* from those pictures?

We will definately need better pictures... i dont really see anything wrong with the tang with that pic you provided.. how ever those hippo tangs are well known for getting ich like it is a plague.. the flame angel could have introduced it to the tank..

- Can you tell me if both fish are still eating?

- what do you mean by shaking in between the rocks? are tehy scraping their gills or trying to rub on the rock at all?

When an old inhabitant gets disease from a new fish, it's usually due to some stressor involved. A healthy fish will ward off common diseases. It was the circumstances, not the pics.

What circumstances? Adding a new fish?

sorry guys about the pic it hard to get good shot of them here is the entire scoop i added the flame angel and the rabbit fish a week ago i just fed them they are eatting like animals lol im trying to get my fish to get into a habit of eating every other day but i notice today the shrimp cleaner is on top of my tang which i know shrimp cleaner do that but non of my fish let him do that till today and the tang keep rubbing aganist the rock for example vibrating between two rocks so. this was what i was thinking take the tang out put him in my qt tank treating with copper do you think its a wise solution?

I am about to go buy some mardels coppersafe or what do you think i should do.

angels are known to be a little bossy and hippos are notorious for being easily stressed, whats the tank size?
Definitely focus on a keeping the water as pristine as possible and soak soak soak your food in garlic! When my hippo got a little sensitive i did the garlic and also started using spectrum marine pellets now he's fat and happy they just need an immune boost and good water!
best of luck!

Search cupramine treatment. If it is Ich or worse, you need to treat all fish!!!

Is it ich or not? I know ich. My blue tang was near dead 8 years ago with ich. We named him Ichabod Tang (ich on body). Low salinity water in QT was the only thing that worked.

Ich is very distinctive. It looks like tiny, distinct grains of salt on the fish. No fuzziness or spotty areas.

So, is it ich?

The next thing to know is the life cycle of ich. Short story. No fish in main tank for at least 30 days, then, only healthy, QTd fish into main tank.

Ich exists in the real world. Fish have a lot more, pure ocean and a lot less stress. They fight the disease. If you see it and the fish is ailing, you need to treat it and the problem - stress.

I recently lost my fish due to ich, unfortunately. I'm proud to say that the 1st of this month was my 90th day fish-free, so the ich has died off. I will be spending this weekend at the LFS! Anyways, the longer the better for your DT regarding ich's lifespan. Take out all fish, and treat them. If the ich don't have any hosts (since they are parasitic), they will die off over time. Safe > Sorry

I just put my 2 survivors back in DT after 73 days fish less, wish I new about the 90 day or more thing. I saw a cloudy tail fin on my copper banded butterfly and my clown chaffing. They seem OK now but I'm watch my fish very close, every day for the next 3 weeks to make sure they don't get reinfected. I have a baby harlequin tusk in hospital tank right now. to add to DT when every thing seems safe.

Hey guys quick question i was observering my fish notice my hippo tang scared of my rabbitfish do those two fish get along my blie tang looks a bit beat up?

Ive got em both in my tank, they get along. Its the newness, things should settle down in due time.
