I got some mint green GSP and some other no name GSP, a few months ago. But now most of the green has faded. Any ideas on what I can do to improve the color? The other corals in my tank are doing great. (Zoas, acans, frog spawn, hammer, Duncan). I will try to get a pic tomorrow.

hmm thats weird i got my first piece of gsp on live rock and at the time it was tan thought it was a sponge because it never opened for the longest time than it finally opened and is bright green now about 2 years later its even bright green growing in my sump under red grow lights this stuff seems un-phased by anything i throw at it i would just wait it out if everything else looks fine the gsp will come back

Sorry it took so long to get the pics. Here are both of the frag plugs with the gsp. As you can see they are not very green. Any ideas on wether they will get more green? I was hoping to put some on the back wall or a rock. But I would like it to have more color before I do that

They do look strangely not green. I can’t tell you much, but my GSP has become a duller green on occasion. It has come back every time. Usually it doesn’t do so well after have I changed the lighting/flow around it.

I guess just wait and see

Ours was very dull for months , I finally moved it to top of rockwork and it went crazy. I have a stock biocube 32 but its overgrown one rock in a month...about ready to frag it

I agree that there is not enough light, their zooxanthellae is a brown, corals will usually brown out, tying to show their zooxanthellae to get more energy. Move to higher light.
