help with my high phos!

my phos. just keep climbing. they are at .31 now. can someone tell me what the cause is and how to bring it down? many thanks!

none that i know of! its just above the bracket that i was told to run in

Don't chase numbers if your tank is healthy and happy. Mine runs anywhere from .2 to .5 with no issues.

You could lower it with gfo. If you choose that route use about half the recommended amount starting as it strips PO4 pretty quickly. I mix a few spoons of gfo in with my carbon when I change it out. I mainly do it just to keep mine from climbing much higher than it is which is 0.3. This is my oldest tank. Still high by many peoples standards but coral are happy so I roll with it.

0.31 ppm vs 0.19 ppm is probably not life threatening.
