Help with my Jedi Mind Trick

I tested the water last Monday and they were all good
Alk 8.0
Cal 460
Phosphate 0.0 on API test
Nitrate 0 on API test
Based on the color I would raise the Phosphate and Nitrate so you see traces on the test kit. What is your Magnesium level? Montis do way better with elevated Mg, say 1400 minimum...
Looking at the white skeleton I would bet you have a parasite of some sort too.

Which one works better for you, but IMO you should lower Alk or increase PO4 and NO3. With those 2 at zero and Alk at 8 the coral tends to build skeleton while while competing with zooxantella for nutrients, resulting in white skeleton and coral death.

But just looking at picture seems like it was caused by some chemical attack.
With a sharp blade try cutting that white part off while moving to a different place.
Also check your Mag and Potassium. The monti looks a little grey...

I have moved the coral up closer to the light and already noticed some better polyp extension. Tuesday I will perform a water change and try and get rid of as many vermitid worms as I can. Hopefully it will heal and I can get a little more trace phosphate and nitrate. Thanks for all the help!

It is looking a little better more polyp extension. I will post again in a week or two

Thanks for all the advice, thought I would give an update. It’s doing great!

Good to hear, the coral looks great. IME, mind trick was finicky when the frag was introduced. A few months later then boom, colors and growth were amazing. They look great as large colonies. I still miss the one we had. Thanks for the update.
