Help with my K1 kalk stirrer

I recently purchased an avast marine k1. I feed it with a DoS pump. When I first put the kalk in the ph reads about 12.3 and the EC is around 9mS.

over the course of a day or less the ph drops to 11 and the EC is sub 1. I manually shake it up and everything rises again for the next day or so.

im stumped as to what is causing this. Any ideas ?

Is it plugged in? Seems like you could unplug it and just shake it every morning and solve the issue?

I have no real experience with this equipment except what I read on a retail site.
