Ok, here goes. I rescued a 50 gallon tank recently and the PO broke the lights on it. I went to my LFS and asked for suggestions on lights for it. I'm new to LEDs. I have a Hydra 32 on my 29 gallon I just set up and asked if those would be good for this tank. I have a guy here that's selling 2 AI 32s and 1 64. The LFS told me to go with the current orbit ic pro instead. I could buy the 64 or both 32s for this price as well.
Is this the best way to go for a 20" deep tank or should I return it and go with the hydras?
If I should keep the orbit what are some suggested settings for them and a tank this deep? I can give a stock list if needed.
Sorry for the questions, I have limited time on the used hydras.
Thanks!

Nobody seems to like the current lights. I have one sitting on my back porch that came with the used tank I bought due to all the negatives I saw when researching for lighting. Seems like the 32's would be the most flexible option for you.

I run the current pro duals on a 75g, definitely not enough to support coral. Had to move everything except the zoas into my other tank...
My tank is not as deep as yours and the ic pro dual couldn’t support coral...
The zoas are actually doing well and replicating. Nothing else was getting enough PAR to flourish.

Orbits are great for fish only. Reef tanks not so much. Hydras are awesome though

Get two hydra 32’s they’ll perform better spread wise than a hydra 64... for the price I wouldn’t touch an orbit for the same price I would invest in a AI prime or 32 they’re well worth the price... I hate that they’re not WiFi controllable anymore but they are Bluetooth controllable and I hate that they’re moving to mobius but over all not too bad a light

Yeah, I'm going to contact the guy with the hydras. He said 2 of them for 400 which sounds pretty good. Or the 64 and both 32s for 700.

The hydras 32 cost 322 each so it’s a good deal and the hydra 64 is close to 600$ retail also a good deal
