Help with my new build, set up and plumping

Hello everyone,

I have been in the hobby for a short three years or so. I have been away for a few months and well I find myself getting on here more and more. My taste have changed and now I want to move towards an sps dominant tank. I have always kept all in one tanks. So biggest challenge with this new build will be the plumping for me. That is where the great members of R2R will help.

The most important things
are to keep it simple
quiet
aesthetically pleasing.

I want to keep the sump on the smaller side(will be moving in 9 months)

I am completely clueless when it comes to the plumping, so please help me.

Tank specs
24x24x12 shallow rimless
lighting is still to be decided, love my ai leds, but feel they are not best option for sps

The plumping aspect of things. I have never had to do this before. So I am clueless in that area.

I will most likely have a new tank built for this build. Moving away from acrylic to low iron glass.

What type of overflow is best and yet most simple, while being quiet? That is the million dollar question. And how do i accomplish that?

I just did this with my 135g that I'm building. I just got water in it.
I did it the cheapest possible and all my self. Drilled the tank, got the kit off eBay for around $60 it came with drill bit, 1200gph overflow, 2 x 1"bulkheads. Drilling wasn't bad. I hard plumbed everything with 1" pvc. Used a reducer and 3/4" loc-line for the return, and a triton 4 1100gph pump. I installed ball valved unions on all the pipes. I built my own stand and sump. The sump was a 75g tank with glass baffles cut at a local shop.
