HiMq6mO.jpg

Here is the pic of the new frogspawn i got from a fellow reefer. He opened up right away and expands and appears to be happy. My only concern is he has 3 heads. As you can see the head in the front is a super metallic green with purple tips, and the rear 2 heads are more of a muted tan with a hint of green. Is it common for the heads to display different colors? I thought maybe those 2 were bleached, but the reefer only had power compact lights so i dont know. Any opinions from reefers with more frogspawn experience?

I have kept Euphyllia under PC lighting and they thrived. The current appearance of the coral would not concern me in the least.

A Euphyllia that does not fully expand each day, looses significant coloration, drops polyps, show tissue recession are warning signs.

Nice piece. :-)

Sweet guys thanks for your input. Perhaps the smaller heads will color up when they get older. Its quickly become one of my favorite corals along with my frogspawn. I really seem to like LPS any other LPS suggestions that are similar to the duncan and frogspawn that i may enjoy?

Ill bet the frag came from the bottom. Two heads were not getting enough light. Ill bet they color up and match the first in a short while. :-)
