Alright guys. My parameters have been stable but I have lost two fish, A royal gramma yesterday and a coral beauty a week ago. Every time I checked my params they were good.

Here is today: PH 8.0, Temp 78.0, Ammonia 0, Nitrate 0, KH 7.6, Phosphate 0, Ca 430 Mg 1600 Cu 0
Magnesium has held steady throughout. Doesn't go up or down!!

Today I noticed another emerald crab that is dead in the tank. My green Bubble Tip Nem unattached and moved.

What is up peoples??

I'm feeding Omega One small pellets with garlic mixed in with ocean nutrition Prime reef flakes.
Every other day I feed Omega one dried seaweed and frozen mysis shrimp.

Any help is appreciated :)

Did you cycle your reef the right way by dosing ammonia.
If you did, your ammonia should have blown thru the roof and then your nitrites and they should have zeroed out, and detected only nitrates.

If you cycled you should read nitrates.

Sounds like an ammonia spike.

Another thought is stray electrical current in your tank.

RODI water, The tank is 7 mos old. Used Bare rock and hit it with bacteria in a bottle and dosed with ammonia. It handles the bioload great. I get no ammonia spike and no nitrates. Skimmer is pulling out nasty smelling dark skimmate. Refugium is growing chaeto like wild. Pods are all over in fuge. Mandarin goes on hunting fest in DT and is loving it. My Flame angel appears to be an arsehole and I'm wondering if he's stressing others out. I know he use to chase the coral beauty ....as the beauty chased him too. When beauty died, he chased gramma after I purchased my Green BTA and it took over gramma's rock. What really stirred things up was when I got my diamond goby...he threw sand all over everything and my tank has been reeling since.

Cycled with ammonia. Stray electrical current...maybe? How do I test. Also, wouldn't my other fish be looking poor too?

(lol)
Just poking in the dark and don't know about your other fish. May have an disease...

Me too, thinking you have maybe a couple issues at the same time.

Crab dieing maybe unrelated.

What was the last fish you introduced to the tank?

I'd send in an ICPOES test to rule out heavy metal contamination. Low probability, but easy enough to check.

Did the others exhibit any signs of disease before they died?

The coral beauty was lying on its side and swimming upside down. Also had white poop. Figured Parasite...Treated with Prazipro . Died after 6 days in QT. I have posts on both the Coral Beauty and the Gramma. Flame angel is chasing my damsel around now. I think he might just be a little territorial dink! He doesn't bother my sailfin tang or the gobies.
