Hi all,
This past Thursday my toady closed up and hasn't come out and is a bit discolored. All my water parameters are normal
SG 1.025
Nitrate <5
Calcium 400
dKh 9
pH 8.0

The only thing I did differently was add microbacter7. I do this every 2 months and never had issues. However, it's the only thing that could be causing it. I did my weekly 5 gal water change yesterday (90 gal tank) and will do another today. I just dipped him in CoralRx.
Thoughts?

Sarcophyton/Leathers do close up periodically, until they shed the waxy coating the coral develops to rid it's self of algae and or detritus.
It's my experience the more you move, dip....Toadstools the longer they stay closed.
The coral may stay closed for many days.

Long story short this is normal behavior for Toadstools.

I have a large toadstool that will do this every so often I wouldn't worry unless you see it start to loose flesh. I know mine also gives me trouble when I try to bring my Alk above 8.3.

Hey no worries that's what it's all about.

He is looking good today. He is opening up for first time in days.
Thanks for all the advice.
