Yeah, I was wondering if that was possibly HLLE or damage of some sort.

That was my second thought, right after infection because of all the red streaking. Thanks for stepping in

Soak food in selcon.. Full of highly unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin c, and amino acids that may be missing from current diet... As far as dry foods just read the ingredients... What's first is what's most and so on .. Look for whole krill, kelp real ingredients not wheat meals and by products .. Will keep tank cleaner as well less poop if they digest it .. I agree on no carbon as well.. Haven't run it in years ... But skimming is a must if carbon isn't used .. Rinse it well if you are going to use it .. The small fines that get into the water column are what's said to cause damage and hlle.. Hope it works out ..
