Help with my Zoa

Hi Everyone,
My zoa is not opening up fully? Water parameters are correct. I also use the Hydra 26 LED light fully on at 100% for 2 hours and 50% the rest of the day. Any recommendations?

Can you add a picture? How new is your tank? It could be a number of things from lack of nutrients, possible pest attacking it, lighting. How new is the zoa?

The zoa are 3 days old and I have them new the wave maker and light. Upper right.

Agreed move to the bottom, But by the looks of it seems that might be an issue..

Some are okay a little higher but as a general rule lower works better

Being in front of the wave maker could be partial with the intense light as well. I would also imagine they are still settling into the new system.

I agree that it could be too much light. You didn’t mention what the lighting in the previous tank was and the placement in regards to that light.

If it was T5 or halide lighting, you will have an adjustment period in which you should start them at the bottom and over the course of a month or two acclimate them to your LEDs.

Honestly, they don’t look too bad to me

Hi everyone,

So I moved my zoa down from the light and away from the wavemaker. I was examining the coral at night and noticed a clear flat type of worm hiding between the bulb. I also noticed some webbing around the zoa, but I was not able to capture a picture of the worm. Can someone please let me know what I need to do? I believe that worm like creature is causing my zoa to close up. Please help....
