So I just got some zoas and need some advice on feeding them. Right now I have 1 yellow tail damsel with 2 peppermint shrimp and 6 snails in my 20 Gal. I'm currently only feeding pellets of krill granule (only enough that my fish and shrimp can feed for about 10 min). Kind of having a hard time deciding what type of food to go with. Frozen foods? I've heard of reef roids and a few other foods. Any input would be extremely helpful to someone very new to the saltwater community

From Live Aquaria:

"They contain the symbiotic algae zooxanthellae which provide some of their nutritional requirements. They will also benefit from additional feedings of micro-plankton or brine shrimp given to each individual of the colony."

no need to feed, your fish waste and uneaten food in water will take care of their needs and mostly they need light to survive like stated above.

He has 1 fish. Not much waste for 100 frags. Never mind 100 polyps. Listen man. I heard that too. My rasta had 4 polyps to start back in June of 2016. With 6 fish in a 20g Only 4 polyps grew out and gave me a total of 8 after 7 months. Soon as I fed reefroids. I was getting 2-3 polyps a month. Now I did a time change and reefroids. Now I am getting 5-6. In real life. Corals feed two ways the best. Photosynthesis(lights) and phytoplankton(reefroids). Think about how diluted waste would be in the wild. It maybe a small form of nutrients, but pictures say a thousand words. This coral had 7 polyps. Now 44. 3 months later.

Cool thanks for the good advice everyone. I'm probably going to look into getting some reef roids.
