Help with new build

To re-establish sand and rock you do not need good lights or great flow. I would ghost feed a bit to create a cycle. I would add a hang on skimmer just to get rid of some of the crap that will come out of the sand ( yes its live- but moving it around from one tank to another will absolutely release a ton of dentritus, etc.) and maybe rig up a DIY temporary way to push the tank water thru a filter sock or some type of physical filtering media.

Sounds good I have extra skimmer as well so I will go that route.

So is drilling return lines really as easy as YouTube show it is? Never drilled glass but considering it after watching.??? Any advise or tips?

Get a mason jar or glass dinner plate at the thrift store. Glass mayo works well. Grind a hole in the bottom for practice. Its not hard but feel is very important. You are grinding not drilling

Lol the most obvious thing to do and I didn't even think about it. Thanks. If the bottom is drilled than the back shouldn't be tempered right?

If bottom of 180 gallon is not tempered than back shouldn't be as well correct?
