Hello everyone
I'm trying to see if I can do anything to help out a newly shipped yellow green ricordea mushroom and ultra red rainbow yuma mushroom.
They arrived a day late due to shipping. As soon as I got them I floated them for a good while. Then just placed them in tank since if figured water they where in was probably toxic at that point. Well now the mushrooms look all white no color and weird and the ricordea is melting on one side. I have them in a breeder container where they get some flow not a whole lot and under some shade as to not have them get hit by the direct light.

I have all types of dip that I bought that I figure I should have on hand. Should I use any or would that only further stress them. I want to try to help them but my lack of experience keeps me from making a wise decision. These are the dips I have

Brightwell. Medicoral koralmd

Seachem reef dip

Red sea dipx

I also have some amino acids different types of coral food.

Would me doing anything make them better or should I just let them be.

Appreciate your response.

My water parameters just in case

Ph 8.2
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
Nitrate 2ppm
Phosphate .07ppm
Alk 11dkh
Calcium 440ppm
Magnesium 1290ppm
Temp 79 degrees

Can you post a photo?

I would place in low light and add a couple drops (depending on tank size) of lugols. I wouldn’t dip at this point, if they’ve turned white quickly they probably won’t make and you don’t want to stress them more

Could be savable, Id put it on the bottom of the tank, add a couple drops of lugols to the tank, and then just let it sit and cross your fingers

Hey all just wondering the one yuma that was ok now has become a ring and has no center it hasn't disintegrated like they usually do. It has fallen off the plug rock. The other ricordea started melting then split. Will it bounce back this happened because they are newly shipped.

Quite resilient in my experience.
Shipping makes them very unhappy.
Correct to not overlight them, especially Yuma.
Just leave them be…..less change’s especially right now is best in my thinking.

I would not add anything other than your normal maintenance and keep your numbers stable.

Thanks will do can't wait to see how they turn out I like nursing them back.

Can you safely add lugols to the tank if the rest of inhabtants are fine? Do you know how to dip corals in lugols? Dosnt say on the bottle! Apreciate any advice. I had a delayed shipment myself by 2 days! Seems to be happening alot these days! my lfs had he samething happen to het the same day! I got very lucky since most of my corals are softies!

I had to throw out a clove polyp! But really didn t care since i have one on n only bid because it was so cheap! My shrooms seem to be fine and so do most my zoas but a few arent opening. What should I dip them in if anything? Its only been a day 1/2 in my tank. My chalice is wierd because it has no height to it! Like its coarline but colored ! very strange! I cant see anything wrong with pectina. But hard to tell because they dont open or anything! Its very colorful and looks fine! I got crazy lucky especially considering I have a bozo's birthday in the order!

I’d keep everything in low light and low flow for a couple days. As long as they look angry, but not dying I’d avoid dipping. But yes, you can add iodine to your tank… but you can also dose too much. I usually just add a couple drops once a week (2-3 drops for my 65 gallon, 6 for my 210). I’ve seen iodine dip instructions ALL over the place… some add so much that it’s like tea. I tend to do 4 drops per cup for 5 mins. If something is really struggling I’ll double it
