Currently I have A 125 gallon that's not drilled and am switching to a drilled tank. I am trying to setup and plumb a new 125 gallon tank withdual internal corner overflows which is all new to me. Is there anything I need to do to make sure there are no floods if power outage, Etc. happens? Any help or advice on plumbing needed and much appreciated. It has I believe a durso drain and a return on each side.

Here is a link to get you started on how to plumb dual returns (not my video - credit to robc) .
This is not the only way, but should give you a good understanding of how they work. The durso you're talking about would work just like his "open channel" without the full siphon.

As to my opinion - I currently have a dual overflow set up and hate it. If I could do it again I would ditch the tower overflows (corners for you), and drill the back for a ghost overflow and Bean Animal drain.

The reason is that the drain towers make getting flow around the tank a pain - they cause current eddies, and cause detritus to settle there. I also don't think there is a good reason to split the drain if you have a sufficient length of weir for surface skimming.

To me dual overflow are old technology, take up too much space, are ugly, and are not needed.:)

I'm ranting now, and I know you didn't ask for me to do that. The video should get you on your way to plumbing your new tank!;)

Thanks! And actually I don't mind at all! Funny thing is I have a 125 gallon tank now 2 yrs old but it's not drilled. Im using a hob overflow. Which has been fine no issues at all. But... I think I want internal overflows for no reason really! I'm about to switch tanks to the drilled tank That just got gave to me. Your actually making me wander if I even need to switch out the tanks or touch it up and stick with what I have.

Well... if you're really looking for options and opinions, look into ghost overflow - shadow overflow - slim overflow. There are a lot of options out there and some are really good. Then you would do a Bean Animal for the drain, and over the back for return.
Just google those terms and read for a while. They are an overflow that is 30% inside and 70% outside the tank. You will still end up with a drilled tank, but it will be drilled in the back, instead of the bottom.
Before you set out on this detour from your original plan, make sure your tank can be drilled (tempered glass or not), as it will be a disaster for you if not.

I have even considered converting my current 350 gallon by removing the overflow towers - using the bottom holes as a closed loop - and drilling the back for a ghost overflow. But... WOW, that would be a ton of work. Maybe on the next go around (if there is one).

I think I'm surely not helping at this point, and only feeding you with endless options, and my opinions.:D
