I'm thinking about replacing my tank, and wanted some advice on what tank to get. I have a 55 now, with a center over flow box. I was thinking about a corner overflow, but someone told me thru are more likely to leak. Is that true? I was also thinking of a forest ghost overflow, but don't know anything about them.
I'm also wondering which manufacturer I should go with, and what else I need to consider. Anyone want to give me a little advice?

Have you looked at any of the reef ready tanks? Most manufacturers have some form of warranty. There are also custom tank builders, if that's a route you want to take.

I don't know why a corner overflow would be more likely to leak. I personally like the look of the center ones better but if you want a corner go for it

I have a 55 also and am making a switch soon. Ive decided on the cad lights artisan ll 100 gal. Might be worth looking into.

Someone I was talking to the other day told me it has something to do with the turbulance in the over flow on the joint in that corner. Where a center overflow is in the middle of the glass and there are no joints inside the overflow. Made sense the way he explained it.

Mostly I'm getting to educate myself on some of the different tanks, and configurations. What manufacturers are the best, What features i should look for, stuff like that.

Personally, I buy cheap tanks, with no features, plan like Tolkein, then put all the features in myself.

I can't really speak for which manufacturers (I use aqueon tanks),
But depending on what type of overflow system you want to use ( hang on back, single pipe, herbie or bean animal) drilled tanks are good or bad (potentially too many/few holes and or too small/big of holes for what you want to do.

If you want simplicity (with a sump), reef ready tanks are a good option.
Alternatively you can have something custom built, meant to just be assembled and filled when it arrives.

This site has a wealth of knowledge hidden in it. Search buttons are your friend. ;)

I would look at some build threads, and if you're handy, the DIY threads.
Again, it's just a sea of information. :)
