I’m a complete newb who inherited a mature reef tank, it’s a mixed tank anc corals and fish are doing great but it looks like it’s snowing in the tank.loads of what I can only describe as dust.any ideas on how to combat this? I’ve had the tank around a month and it’s been fine until now.
Thanks

Can you post some pics and/or video of the tank?
Does it have a sand bottom? Any chance the pumps are kicking up sand?
Do you have anything that could have spawned? Again, pics and a list of what's in the tank might help narrow it down.

Thanks for your reply, yes there’s sand bottom but don’t think it’s sand . Like I said I’m very new to reef keeping and was kind of forced into it but I do enjoy it don’t want to kill anything. I don’t know how much detail you want but there are 10 fish 5 hermits and a few snails/urchins. Also various corals I dont yet know the names of. For equipment there is only a gyre in the display. Any help/advice would be massively appreciated(whilst I spend my days researching)
