help with nitrites

Can someone help me I have gone threw ammonia stage now going on a week of nitrites and won't go down

No I haven't thought I would after cycle apparently I was told wrong

depending on how long you have been dosing ammonia to keep it up to whatever ppm (a bad practice) nitrites will not begin going down until week 2.

if you want to see if nitrite is being made a dent in to... measure nitrate. they will increase as nitrite oxidizes

do a 50% wc and see if that gets it down to detectable levels.

pull the shrimp.

that bacteria wont die for a while

yeah. just ride it out for another week. keep watching nitrates. they will increase as nitrites eventually decrease
