At lights on yesterday I noticed this Nudi on my glass. There were two of them. I have never seen them before. I have not added any rock or coral in the last 3-4 months and have not had any of my coral showing any signs of damage. Montipora are all good, Zoa all good, leathers all good, etc. can someone help me ID this critter? Sorry the pics are not better I will try and get better pics when and if I see them again.

It’s kinda hard to id from those pics, good thing is that it’s to large to be a montipora eating one [emoji21]

Possibly a zoa eating nudi. Pull it if possible. If it lays eggs....

So this is what I dug out this morning. A couple on the glass and a couple on my Digitata. For reference on size, the first three pics are in a urine sample cup. None of my monti show any signs of damage at all but I fear that this is a Monti eating Nudi. Can anyone confirm? I can’t pull all my monti to dip. They are on a HUGE piece of my rockscape that is mortared together.

They usually look more “leafy”. But possibly could be monti munchers. I hate to hear that you have two. Any time I find 2 of something in my tank, I know there’s more. 1 is a more comforting number. Have you noticed any whitening or damage to your montis?

Anyone with experience on Monti eating Nudis have any input? I was thinking about catching my six line and moving him to one of my other tanks and getting a Yellow Corris Wrasse to see if he will eat em up and also continue manual removal after lights out. Any thoughts on that plan of action?

Well if they aren't bothering your coral if you have any aiptasia in your tank they will keep it in check.if not they will die off anyway if they aren't eating

I have not had any Aiptasia in my tank for quite some time. I guess I will just keep an eye on everything, as usual, and if anything goes south I will go into defensive mode with my plan for Corris Wrasse attack.
