Help with nyos quantum 160 not reaching correct level

Got this new skimmer setup about a week ago I believe, in a red sea reefer 350. I replaced an old skimmer I got used as an upgrade. I'm having some trouble with it where even with the water level at the bottom (tube set to open and air closed) it's overflowing with bubbles. Should I just leave it on with the cup removed until it stops doing this? Or is there another reason this may be happening? Thanks

Skimmer looks new and they can take up to two weeks to break in. I just leave the top off mine and about a week in try to tune it. If I can't get it tuned in then wait another week.

Leave the cup on and just run the drain line back into the sump for a week or two...

So having a bit of a hard time tuning it now, currently I have the main tube pointed away from the skimmer with the fine adjustment fully closed, and air way part open.

Still unable to get it much higher than that. Any opinions?

I have the air valve fully open and the main water adjustment fully open
