Hey guys so my first experience ordering fish online was great. The second time was terrible because FedEx is terrible at what they do and flew my fish to the other side of country for some unknown reason. The company sent me a replacement free of charge and yet again FedEx skipped over Denver and flew the fish to Memphis from California and then back to Denver to be delivered super late in the day. Anyway my green mandarin wasn’t looking so hot when I got him but he was alive and moving his fins but his tail was kinda to the side. I dripped acclimated him and put a drop of prime in for any toxin build up. He started moving around more after acclimation so I put him in QT where he has just stayed in the corner not really moving. He did swim up and pooped and every once in a while he will do a small circle but then just goes back to laying down not moving. I have pods in there and tried feeding him some can o cyclops but he doesn’t seem interested at all. What can I do for this guy! I don’t want to loose him.

Feeding the first day not recommended. Reduce white light and allow it to balance itself with the new environment and obtain fresh oxygen.
Attempt feeding tomorrow with pods or else the cyclops

I placed an order for a pair of mandarin and it shipped last week via FedEx, I just got them today after 7 days with FedEx. Of course the gobies are already rotting. The seller is aware and will be sending a replacement tomorrow. What sad is when I contacted them last week telling them that the package was stuck at FedEx facility in Indiana they told me not to worry because they have a DOA policy. I know it is a cultured fish but an animal lost is an animal lost. It is like telling me “it is ok if they died anyway we can always breed one in our facility”. It might be a misconception on my part but that’s how I perceived the message. Anyway it is the fedex fault and not them.

Sounds like they were trying to reassure you. Of course the seller does not like losing the few dollars on the fish or that an animal is lost, but there is little they can do other than assure you the DOA will be replaced.

In almost all cases fedex shipments go through Memphis. They cant send a plan from every origin point to every destination point. Almost everything gors to memphis then distributed from there.

I bet they are, I still trust the seller but not FedEx.

See after mine was stuck there for over day I’m like well I paid for overnight and it’s not over night and I’m sure it will be dead. Right away they offered to send another or give a refund of the full price which was cool I hate FedEx with a passion

The first time I ordered FedEx shipped it right to Denver. It wouldn’t be a problem if it went to another city and then went back out but so far it just sits in IN for a day or 2 then goes back out like do they not know what overnight shipping is.
