Hello,

I have a Waterbox 35.2, and I decided to go with a 'floating rock' idea and created some dry rock shelves at home. I had 1 'floating' piece in originally, but wanted to increase area for pods by just a bit, and had another magnet lying around, so I created another one! Let me know your thoughts, if it seems too cluttered.

Also, I'm not totally sold on changing from the original, but adding the 2nd floating piece also allows me to completely hide my Nero 5, which is a very cool bonus.

First pic with clear water is original, the rest are various ideas I came up with.

I also made something like this. What irritated me was when I had to clean the glass, I’d have to move the floating piece. Sometimes it would fall (had corals on it). So eventually I scrapped the idea. However if you don’t plan on scraping the glass and leave it be, it definitely looks nice.

What corals do you plan to put on the shelves? I've been thinking about doing the same for a while but idk what would look good there.

Itll be an LPS tank, but for the bigger shelves I'm thinking about carpeting it in acans/zoas. The smaller shelves may actually just stay rock, I like the look of them. As soon as the sand settles a bit I'll post some clear pics

The 2 magnetic floating pieces are pretty small, I plan on just unclipping the magnet and then putting it back. But you're right, I may get tired of that eventually. I just like the look for now
