Help with plumbing drain

I have been to 3 different stores and for the life of me cannot figure this out. I am doing a durso drain style, just go with me on this, I want to do trial by error to see what I like.

My issue is I cannot figure out how to go from 1 1/4 inch to my 1 inch bulkhead. I cannot find a coupling anywhere that will do that. I think I am making this way harder then it needs to be.

Is your bulkhead threaded or slip? If its threaded you should be able to get a 1" male thread with a 1 1/4" female slip at any hardware store. If its a slip its trickier. I would look for a 1" female slip to a 1 1/2" male threaded, and go then get a 1 1/2" female thread to 1 1/4" female slip which you should also be able to get at any hardware store.

that's mine going from 1 1/2" thread to 1 1/4" slip. Anything is possible but IMO its easier to work with threaded bulkheads.

Nope, I don't think so. I have found that durso style drains that downsize like that tend to be quieter and perform better.
