Help with "polyps"!

Blue or purple clove polyps.

Could you take a clearer picture please?
They look like some sort of soft coral.

If it's the purplish stuff then it looks like clove polyps. When I was on the hunt for coral I seen some and was told by a worker at the LFS it was at to avoid it as it's a pain to remove and is highly invasive.
