Hi everyone!
I am hoping someone has had experience with the Corallife 05271 Super Skimmer 65 gallon.
I have a 40 gallon tank and this is my first salt water tank. I was looking at the reef octopus BH90 hanging skimmer.
What are your thoughts? :)

I have a Coralife 05271 on for my QT system, (on sale from a LFS $60) after tweaking for about an hour got it to work, really not impressed with it but was not looking for top shelf either.

I have never own a reef octopus BH90 so lets see if someone else can help [HASHTAG]#reefsquad[/HASHTAG]

I think the RO it is. I was also told from my LFS that the Eheim classic was a good option. Any thoughts on the Eheim? Thanks for all the great replys. :)

Eheim makes good products, but I'm not familiar with their protein skimmer.

I have always used Tunze skimmers for 25 years now. I have had a 9206 model running for 20 years still ticking and can get parts for it.:)
A Tunze 9004 is a reliable skimmer easy to set up and maintain.

I agree on the tunze great quality product, they also make solid products!! Can't go wrong

Of the 2 mentioned I'd go with the ROAD if not other options are available. If you have to do a HOB skimmer I recommend looking at the tunze models. I ran one years back and loved it.

The Tunze is also a good choice, I used them for years, both the 9002 for a smaller tank, and a 9011 on a larger one.
