I purchased a rainbow bta (orange/green with white spots around mouth) and it has been doing very well in my tank for a couple of weeks. It look especially happy after I feed it (usually raw shrimp torn up) however I have more recently added a anemone shrimp to my tank since my two clowns are too young to host. since adding the shrimp whenever the shrimp is laying across the anemone the arms it is touching will close up smaller. Also the anemone has moved to a different place on the rock. I am concerned that the shrimp may be an unwelcomed guest to my anemone or perhaps the bta is just too small for it. I would much rather take the shrimp back then lose the anemone since it wasn't cheap and it is a pretty important member of my tank. I will add pictures in a moment.

I Ike the nem to be 6-10 times bigger than the thing hosting it. However I have seen people with small nems and clown fish and the nems are not dying

taken with iphone5.. poor quality. you can see where the shrimp is laying across the nem. the nem isn't fully inflated... its small but it is a little larger then it is acting currently( in my defense)lol.. however I don't care for the way it looks now.

thats a white spot anemone shrimp which ARE NOT good for anemones.....they can and will actually cut tentacles off the nem to accommodate them. I have 2 right now I'm trying to get rid of. They are killing my high end mini maxi carpets it's pretty bad. They are too rough on anemones in my opinion. When I bought them they were small and I thought I bought a pederson shrimp which I've been wanting for years now. Get that thing out your tank the sooner the better

By the way, if you want the coolest anemone shrimp go with sexy shrimp. They are my favorite love their sexy butts dancing and they don't have claws to cut tentacles off nems

Thx for the info.. I took the shrimp back to lfs and traded for a ruby red dragnet...

Probably not the best trade either. You really need a 120+ mature tank 120lbs live rock and a established reguium to support dragonets. I wish they were prohibited to buy anymore since their survival rate is slim to none.

I'm sure you have....unfortunately statistics side with me my friend. I'm not saying it can't be done what I am saying is that it's PROBABLE it will not work and the fish will die. This is just my opinion take it with a grain of salt :)
