Help with raising Alk. Calculation/Dosing ESV

Ok I want to monitor my Alk for the next week to see how much my tank is using. I need to know how slow to add my ESV B-ionic

My Alk is 7.9

I want to raise it to 9.

The calculator says I need to dose the following. (see picture.)

How slow do I add this Amount? I will be dosing this manually until I figure out how fast my tank is using.

They give you a suggestion in their notes there. Don’t bump your pH more than .2 at a time. You don’t want to change all by more than 0.5 dKH in a day.

I plan on pouring half today My question is do I pour that at one time or do I split the 125ml up over several hours? Basically how much could I dump in at one time?

It’s always better to spread it out as much as you can. Smaller changes are better than large ones

It may have to do with salt mix as some do produce low readings. Whatever you do, raise it slowly and do not chase numbers as coral will respond poorly to such action
