Help with reading copper test

Dosing with coppersafe for suspected ich. I have the Hanna checker on order but until then I’m dealing with this and could use some assistance. To me it looks between 1 and 2 maybe closer to 1 though?

If it’s closer to 1 what should I make my next dose to get it into the therapeutic range. It’s a 40 gallon tank.

How close are you holding to the card? You want to check from 1/4"-1/2" above.. That said, it looks like 1-2. Given it's on the card, which makes it look darker, I'd say probably closer to 1.

What size tank and how much have you dosed so far?

Just saw that it's 40g.

Thank you both for the input. I was setting it on the card, next time I test I'll make sure to hold it above it a bit. I lost track of how many doses I've given to be honest. Based on your info in another thread you told me to do .8ml per gallon and test after doses. So what I have done is figure in 40 gallons that's 32 ml so I figured I'd do eight 4ml doses but I forgot to update my notes so I believe I'm somewhere around 5 or 6 doses at the moment. I know I did 2 doses, one in the morning and one at night on day one which was 4/9. I might have done that as well on day 2 but I honestly can't remember. And then one dose a day on days 3 and 4.
