Can anyone help me with readings?

I just want to double check my eyes. Any help?

Wish these came in digital!

My ApexEL is telling me I have a ph of 7.4 yet this seems to say something different?

Tank is about 2 weeks old.

If your Apex ph probe is only 2 weeks old, give it another week in the water and then recalibrate it. It took a few weeks for mine to start reading accurately.

It looks like the sample is reading 8.0 pH. But it's hard to say. The droplet-style test kits for pH likely work okay, but they're problematic because they can't really be calibrated, so you have no way of knowing if they're correct.

Did you calibrate your Apex's pH probe?

Reason for the dip could have been high co2 as we had a party with just over 20 people and the house was closed as it was cold out but I have kept a window cracked and or a door right by it and also have our fan on furnace on as our newer home has a intake from outside into the cold air return for fresh air so can’t be high co2. I know it’s all new just figured I would be at the 8.0 by now. Maybe just need to buy more fluid and recalibrate the sensor?

It couldn't have dipped that low because of a party. I would definitely recommend recalibrating the sensor. A party can easily cause more than a 0.4 change in pH but it won't get it down to under 7.2 imo. Could it go from 8.1 to 7.7? Easily.
